My mission
To repurpose corporate business strategy tools & techniques I have successfully used in my career as a change practicioner, coach and process improvement professional to help inspire you to think differently about how to make change easier.
My vision
Bring techniques & tools out of corporate boardrooms to teach people how to approach change differently so it is easier adjust to the rapid pace of our evolving digital world where the only consistency is embracing that change is our new normal.
CHANGE FATIQUE IS REAL!!!
I am fascinated by and love technology. I feel fortunate to get paid to do meaningful work in technology and be a part of a revolution in business strategy. It is exciting to contribute to building technology that offers a promise of making our lives easier. But as much as I love technology, I sincerely believe that tech is a tool for people to use....not a replacement for people.
Humans are not designed to be programmable because we have an ability to think freely, process experiences individually and emote in ways that can't be standardized. I value every person's "free will". While technology can be programmed to be standard, change is a process that is not replicated identically for any two people. Sometimes we are collectively weathering the same storm but naivgating that journey in different vessels. I honor the people side of change with a genuine curiosity to understand how you perceive, experience and approach change.
As a society, we are living during a time of revoluntionary change inspired by advancements in technology evolving much faster than people can embrace, adjust & adopt. Today, every business is enabled by technology regardless of the industry. Every American home is enabled by technology regardless of geography or household income. Every person is expected to embrace technology for basic to complex daily living regardless of age or experience. Despite the ease at which technology can evolve, the people side of change is not always easy.
My philosophy on change has been inspired by my own personal, academic and professional experiences. Academically, I studied psychology because I am fascinated by mindset and behavior of humans. Post graduate, I continued my education in business management and leadership because I am an entreprenuer & business strategist. Professionally, I have been trained and earned certifications in professional coaching, change management, process improvement, and business agility. Collectively, my learning and experience has shaped my desire to apply what I have learned outside of corporate conference rooms to inspire and help people idenitfy, plan and process change individually. #changearchitect
Architecture = "the practice of designing & constructing"
Change = "make different" "alter" "modify"
Management = "coordination to achieve goals"

Biography
Early Life & Education
During my childhood and teenage years, I lived in Louisville's West End - attending Community Catholic School through eighth grade and then high school at Shawnee Aviation Career Academy where I specialized in Travel and Tourism through the magnet program. During high school, my natural leadership skills were refined by my Aviation mentor, Gerald White who was instrumental in helping me improve my public speaking, gain practical experience as an intern with airlines, cruiselines, hotels, state parks and travel agencies. I was the first high school student to write, publish and present a travel tourism academic publication proposing an industry standard currency - The Turo-Dollar.

I spend "me" time thinking, writing and reading to learn new concepts from emerging thought leaders who write on topics related to business management, entrepreneurship, psychology, and personal or business transformation. I am an avid gardener and the proud guardian of (10) orchids in addition to a variety of other houseplants and indoor tropicals. I love being outdoors because I am fascinated observing nature. I covet opportunities to participate in the art of conversation. I am currently working on a self-published fictional business novel about leadership mindset.

After completing my freshman year of college at the University of Kentucky, I returned to Louisville to take some time off when I was pregnant with my son. I worked full-time and attended college on nights & weekends despite being a single mother. In 2001, I earned my Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude along with the honor of being inducted into two honor societies. I continued my post-graduate studies at Bellarmine University, earning my Masters in Business Administration in 2003. As a life long learner, I have continued to pursue learning with professional development in project management, business agility, process improvement, change management and coaching.
Professional Career
I started my career in healthcare in 1999, when I launched a bootstrap, lean start-up mobile x-ray company serving Louisville and Southern Indiana nursing and assisted living facilities. Within a few years, we had expanded services to home health, occupational health and independeny living facilitaties adding more products that included labs, holter monitors, EKG, and bone density testing. In 2005, I joined Humana in Medicare Billing Operations as a part of privatized Medicare expanding into prescription drug coverage. I am currently with Hitachi consulting on modern learning design for business strategy as an Agile coach implementing professional development learning programs for Information Technology in telecommunications. I love being a part of the Louisville community and actively engaged supporting a variety of causes by sharing time, talent and treasure to different non-profits. In December 2023, I wrapped up my third and final consecutive term as President elect of the Board of Directors for Nerd Louisville. Under my tenure and leadership, the organization sustained through Pandemic and emerged with a renewed focus on building community and hosting local gaming events, including resuming the annual NerdLouvia gaming convention in November 2022.
